Inuvo Celebrates Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is a harvest festival celebrated primarily in The United States and Canada.  In the United States, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November and in Canada the second Monday in October.  The holiday has been celebrated in the United States since 1863 when during the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national day of thanks to be celebrated on Thursday, November 26.

On Monday November 22, 2010, Inuvo celebrated Thanksgiving the only way we know how to, with lots and lots of food.  This was truly a great way to kickoff the holiday week!  Inuvo supplied a turkey and ham and each employee brought in their favorite Thanksgiving side dish.  We feasted on green bean casserole, potato salad, stuffing, seven-layer salad and much more! Read below to see how some Inuvians celebrated their Thanksgiving this year.

“Traditionally, I have Thanksgiving at my house every year.  I usually have a larger crowd than I did this year so there was A LOT of food left over.   It typically takes me about three or four days to prepare my Thanksgiving feast, this year I took four.  I got a little out of hand as I am a great cook and now trying to learn how to bake.  My family and friends had a great meal.  We ended the day with an Inuvo-style bowling tournament.”  – Julie Meacci, Marketing Specialist.

“I got married about a month before Thanksgiving so my husband and I decided to stay home and celebrate our first Thanksgiving alone as a married couple.  It was great!  I cooked and he ate.  We celebrated with our families the Saturday following Thanksgiving.  I love the holidays and spending time with my family!” – Christina Harvey, Lead Customer Service Specialist.

“Thanksgiving is a time for family, food and football, and this year couldn't have been a better combination.  We had family come down from Ocala and Massachusetts and stayed on the beach. Once the turkey was in the oven, it was off to the beach for some sun and fun before heading back up for dinner and the Patriots game!” – Danielle Eager, Director of Sales.
